Keep the washer; replace the part that failed
If the machine still suits your jobs, a correctly matched hose can keep the setup useful. SIMPSON’s hose guidance says to stop using a damaged high-pressure hose and replace it; do not patch or repair it.
Before inspecting or disconnecting anything, shut down and follow your washer’s manual for releasing pressure and disconnecting power. Never touch a pressurized leak.
Match both ends before comparing prices
Use the washer’s model number. If the gun has been replaced, check its part number too.

Why “M22” can still leave you with the wrong hose
M22 fittings can use different sealing dimensions. McKillans’ M22-14 mm adapter specifically warns against using it with a 15 mm hose. That is the distinction to resolve when a listing only says M22.
Confirm the sealing dimension from the connector specification or your model’s parts supplier. Matching threads alone does not establish a pressure-tight fit.
A higher-rated hose is not automatically the right replacement
The SIMPSON CM61083 lists a 5/16-inch, 25-foot hose and an M22 gun connection. The Santoprene 41182 is a different specification: 1/4-inch, 25-foot, rated to 4,000 PSI and 140°F, with M22 threaded connections.
The higher-rated 41182 has a different diameter. These pages do not confirm it as a CM61083 replacement; use the machine’s approved part number.
A part number is a stronger starting point
The CM61083 illustrated parts list, item 4, identifies hose 7106622: 5/16-inch by 25-foot, rated to 3,700 PSI, with M22 male and female ends. Use that number to compare replacement offers.
Match the parts-list version, model suffix and serial number to your machine. A changed gun or pump outlet needs a separate fit check.
Replacement or extension?
An extension is an option only when the original hose remains suitable and undamaged.
SIMPSON lists an extension adapter with the 41182. Check your washer’s permitted length and connections before using it. A regular garden supply hose belongs at the water inlet, not in place of the high-pressure hose between the pump and gun.
Find the exact part, then the complete price
For a SIMPSON machine, use the parts lookup linked by SIMPSON with the full model number. For another brand, use its own model-specific parts list. If the gun has been replaced, provide its model too.
Compare the confirmed hose and any required adapter, including delivery. If fit is still unresolved, ask the parts supplier before ordering.
